Platform Support

Perform Super Admin Support Tasks

The Super admin area supports customer-organization review, user lookup, temporary-password resets, and cross-organization audit review.

Permissions#

  • The account must have the platform-level super-admin flag.
  • Organization-admin status alone does not grant access.
  • Non-super-admin API requests are rejected with Super admin access required.

Review Organizations#

  1. Open the Super Admin support area. A dedicated super-admin account is taken directly to this workspace after sign-in.
  2. Under Organizations, review the organization name and ID, Timezone, Billing, current period end when available, and user/program/student/event counts.
  3. Select Refresh data to reload organizations, users, and audit entries.

The organization list contains up to the 100 most recently created organizations. It does not currently provide organization search or pagination.

Find a User#

  1. Under Users, enter part of a first name, last name, or email in Search users.
  2. Select Search.
  3. Review the user's email, organization memberships and roles, Super admin status, Must change password, and Inactive indicators.

Search is case-insensitive and returns up to 100 newest matching users. A blank search returns up to 100 newest users.

Reset a User Password#

  1. Find the correct user and verify the email and memberships.
  2. Enter a Temporary password of at least 8 characters.
  3. Select Reset.
  4. Securely provide the temporary password to the intended user.

The reset replaces the user's current password immediately, marks the account to change its password, updates the password timestamp, and writes an audit entry. The confirmation states that the user must change the password on next login. The application does not email the temporary password automatically.

Review Cross-Organization Audit Activity#

  1. Scroll to Audit log.
  2. Review When, Action, the organization name, Actor, and Details.
  3. Select Refresh data to retrieve current entries.

The support view shows up to the 100 newest audit entries across organizations and has no filter, export, or pagination control.

Expected Outcome#

Organization information and usage counts are available for support review, password-reset results identify the affected email, and sensitive support actions appear in the audit log.

Troubleshooting and Important Notes#

  • Temporary password must be at least 8 characters: Enter a longer temporary password and retry.
  • Verify the target email before selecting Reset; this operation immediately invalidates the prior password and has no confirmation dialog.
  • The screen can display inactive users, but it does not provide controls to activate or deactivate them.
  • Super-admin support actions shown here do not edit organization settings, memberships, or student data.
